Martin Scorsese, an inarguable master of cinema, returns with his newest film, Silence.The story centers around two Christian missionaries in the 17th century who travel to Japan to look for their mentor who has gone missing. Their journey is fraught with peril as Japan forbid Christianity from being practiced at the time. The ordeal will test their faith, resolve, and could even cost them their lives.With an all-star cast that includes Andrew Garfield, Adam Driver, and Liam Neeson, Silence is undoubtedly one of the year's most anticipated pictures. The film is based on the award-winning book from Shusaku Endo.Silence will have a limited release on December 23 and will expand nationwide in January.

Hacksaw Ridge is the extraordinary true story of Desmond Doss (Andrew Garfield) who, in Okinawa during the bloodiest battle of WWII, saved 75 men without firing or carrying a gun. He was the only American soldier in WWII to fight on the front lines without a weapon, as he believed that while the war was justified, killing was nevertheless wrong. As an army medic, he single-handedly evacuated the wounded from behind enemy lines, braved fire while tending to soldiers and was wounded by a grenade and hit by snipers. Doss was the first conscientious objector awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.
