I’ve been extremely busy promoting Deadpool 2, which opens this May. But I want to speak directly to you, because of how close we are.

Seriously, FANDOM, I don’t do this for just anyone. I even have a nickname for you: “Spoiler Alert!” So cute, right?

But enough about our totally real and rock-solid relationship. Let’s talk about Deadpool 2. At its heart, this movie is all about ignoring the X-Men franchise.

I’ve never worked with a tighter group of actors and I hope that our friendship lasts for... the duration of our contractual obligations.

Deadpool blended a cracking sense of humour and rat-a-tat jokes, every one of which hit home, with a touching tale about an antihero with a heartbreakingly horrific backstory seeking revenge. Deadpool 2 can’t help but falter with a less accurate strike rate in all areas. But Cable’s introduction to the franchise and the film’s stellar post-credits sequence lift the sequel significantly and ultimately leave us wanting more.
