In possibly one of the weirdest  and potentially unwanted  crossovers of all time, Nintendo and Ubisoft is working together on a brand new title called Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle. This action adventure game combines puzzle-solving, platforming but also top-down tactical battling. It's a Nintendo Switch exclusive and although the Princess Peach Rabbid is adorable, we're unconvinced about how it's going to appeal to a wider audience.

Nintendo's E3 Highlights

With the world very much riveted by the Nintendo Switch and its raft of new games - well, mostly Zelda: Breath of the Wild - it's come as quite a surprise that Nintendo just announced yet another new console.The Nintendo 2DS XL is basically a slimline version of the New 3DS with bigger screens and all those extra features but lacking the stereoscopic 3D functionality. Why did Nintendo just announce the 2DS XL?

Reports suggest that Nintendo is gearing up to launch the Nintendo Classic Mini: SNES Edition, riffing on the success of the NES Mini's success. Interestingly enough, the rumours emerge just after Nintendo confirmed that the NES Mini has been discontinued due to production issues. It looks like the NES has been shelved to make way for this new Mini. But, most importantly, what games should come pre-installed on a Mini SNES when it does arrive?

Just announced for the Nintendo Switch, Fire Emblem Warriors is the newest Nintendo crossover with the celebrated Dynasty Warriors series. The first shot of it was shown at the Nintendo Switch reveal event, but now we've got to see a lot more in the first gameplay trailer for the game. Take a look at multiple Fire Emblem icons battling it out on the massive battlefield.But don't expect to only play the game on the Nintendo Switch in 2017. Nintendo also revealed that Fire Emblem Warriors will be released on the New 3DS and New 3DS XL (meaning it won't be compatible with older models).  The Nintendo World Championships 2015 will be telecast for the first time this WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16 (8:00 p.m. ET/PT) on Disney XD.  The exciting hour-long special, with behind the scenes footage and interviews exclusive to this telecast, will feature sixteen of the world's most skilled and entertaining gamers competing onstage in games from Nintendo's past, present and future. In June 2015, Nintendo brought back one of the biggest events in gaming history  the iconic Nintendo World Championships.  It has been 25 years since Nintendo first hosted the event, and to mark the occasion they brought together some of the best gamers from North America to face off in a series of games that span Nintendo's history, including Splatoon, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid Prime: Blast Ball, Super Metroid, Mario Kart 8, Balloon Fight, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Mario Maker.  With thousands of fans gathered, these brave gamers battled for gaming supremacy to claim the coveted title of Nintendo World Champion 2015.
