With Destiny 2 now available across Xbox One, Ps4 and -- for the very first time -- PC, you've got no reason to avoid Bungie's massively social shooter. While the majority of the game is cooperative, there is also the competitive Crucible for players who want to slug it out against each other. It's a different beast from most competitive shooters, so be sure to follow the following tips if you want to stay alive and dominate the other team.

Pay Attention To HUD Details

The Heads-Up Display in Crucible matches has undergone quite a few changes from Destiny 1. This time around, you can easily see the classes/subclass choices of the enemy team, when a player’s super ability is ready, and even when they have power ammunition. This information can help your team adapt their strategy, so always keep a keen eye.

Stick Close to Your Team

This might sound like a no-brainer, but Destiny 2 has shifted all PVP modes to include 4v4 matches instead of the first game’s mix of 6v6 and 3v3. This, as a result, has made Crucible matches more dependent on good team play. Stick close to at least one ally at all times, their additional firepower can help you take out enemies a bit quicker.

Use Your Super Wisely

Destiny 2 has tweaked the frequency of players receiving their super abilities. Now, most players will usually only receive their super once per match. Know when to utilize it - when you see a large amount of the enemy team, pull the trigger.

Find Your Ideal Power Weapon

The tweaks to weapons in Destiny 2 has moved weapons such as Fusion Rifles, Shotguns, and Snipers into the Power Weapon slot. A slot that’s already crowded with Rocket Launchers, Swords, Grenade Launchers, and Machine Guns. Find a power weapon you align with well and stick to it. Shotguns are a very safe bet since most PVP maps are on the smaller side of things.

Learn Each Map’s Layout

This one is easier said than done, but the more you play Crucible, the better you’ll become as you begin to identify each map’s chokepoints and firefight areas. Be patient as you play and slowly adapt your playing style to each map. There are currently 8 multiplayer maps, knowing your way around each one will be beneficial.
