A global event to showcase and educate about vital parts of the Fandom network ecosystem: CSS and design. Presenters from Fandom staff illustrate topical presentations, each followed by a questions moderated by Community's Bert Hall. From a primer on CSS fundamentals to "power use" on Fandom, there should be something for all skill levels.

CSS: a Fandom Town Hall

"Portability: a Fandom Town Hall" is a global event to describe and put a face on the Fandom portability initiative. 3 presenters, drawn from Fandom staff and the Vanguard volunteer team, will broadcast topical presentations, each followed by a questions moderated by Community's Bert Hall. The topic's broadcast is open to all Fandom users, who can submit questions during the presentations and for the final half hour, an Ask Me Anything style roundtable with portability staff and Vanguard.

Portability: a Fandom Town Hall (2016-11-19)

A global event to showcase and educate about an essential part of the FANDOM experience and community: seeing your communities grow and evolve over time! Presenters from the FANDOM Community Staff broadcast topical presentations, each followed by a moderated question & answer session. Understanding how your communities can best work for the fresh generation of readers is key, so there is something for all skill levels.

· Shifting Audiences: How to think about your community readers — they may not be who you think (and may not be who they were when the community started)!
· Modernization: What's new with the FANDOM tools, network, and platform. Where are we going this year?
· Out with the old: What are some older design patterns that no longer fit a modern web or wiki? How can these be replaced with something responsive and responsible without losing your community flavor?
· Converting readers to editors: How to get volunteers interested, and keep them involved. Why FANDOM is a different culture than Wikipedia.
