One of the biggest talking points around The Walking Dead is who might die next. With Season 7 gearing up for its finale, we spoke to the cast of the show to find out who their characters would most hate to lose.  For Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon, it was a surprise choice.  Probably Rick for Daryl, says Reedus. I think hes probably the closest person in that group to him. I think he would just go apes**t. I think he would just start wrecking stuff, and then he would cry like a baby. Fans of The Walking Dead might have expected his answer to be Carol. Hes certainly shared a lot with Melissa McBrides badass zombie slayer, and theres a segment of fans whod love to see Daryl and Carol link up romantically. Even show boss Greg Nicotero was surprised at his response. Rick is like the brother that Merle was never, adds Reedus. Of course, if you remember, Daryl's brother on The Walking Dead, Merle (played by Michael Rooker), entered the show with Dixon Jr. in Season 1. The siblings had a dysfunctional relationship, and Merle ended up dying at the hands of the Governor in Season 3. It was left to Daryl to finish off Merle after he turned into a walker in an emotional scene. For Josh McDermitt, who plays fan-favourite Eugene, its Rosita whos currently preparing to embark on a suicide mission to tackle Negan with Sasha. Shes like a sister to him, says McDermitt. A sister he would love to sleep with. Oh yeah? Theres just a way hes attracted to her, Josh explains. Its this weird situation: someone hes been travelling with forever and he loves her tremendously. Thats why he didnt want to make that bullet for her  because he knew that she could get hurt and he didnt want that to happen. For Tom Payne, who plays Jesus, its Maggie: Hes seeing her as a potential leader to take over from Gregory. As well, I think he sees hope in her, and if he lost her hed have to start again. Austin Amelio, Ross Marquand and Seth Gilliam who play Dwight, Aaron and Father Gabriel respectively, also pick the characters theyd least like to see meet their grisly fates in the video above. It seems The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus is a bit of a magpie when it comes to props. Hes admitted he likes to take stuff after a days filming on the zombie apocalypse show. To be fair, show boss Greg Nicotero is fully aware  and even facilitates his acquisition of things both weird and well, lets just stop at weird.Instead of collecting shiny things, though, the actor  who plays the tough but sensitive Daryl Dixon on the show  has nabbed a host of strange and macabre but, lets face it, pretty cool things. One of his takeaways is the actual facial hair of his co-star.So whats he got? For starters, Reedus tells us that Greg Nicotero has given him Johnny Depps head and two penises. The head we knew about but the penises?Nicotero clarifies: You have Jamie Foxxs penis and Mark Wahlbergs penis.We presume theyre talking about prosthetic appendages, and its likely that the members in question are from the sets of movies Boogie Nights and Django Unchained, both of which Nicotero fulfilled special make up effects supervisor duties for. Johnny Depps head, in case you dont know, is a little easier to explain  in episode 12, called Not Tomorrow Yet, of Season 6 it appears alongside two other severed heads collected when the gang go out to find a head that looks like Hilltop leader, Gregory. But it seems Norman is just getting started: Ive got Herschels hair  Ive got his ponytail. Ive got Andy [Lincolns] beard in my refrigerator in a bag.Herschel met a memorable end at the hands of the Governor in Season 4. Andrew Lincolns Rick Grimes, of course, is still very much alive  but we all remember the moment he shaved off his impressive beard. Now partially regrown, it was a video of Rick with his full beard that prompted villain Negan to say, I would not have messed with that guy.Anything else youd like to share, Norman? Well, yes, now you mention it: I have the skull with the spinal chord hanging out of it.He also admits to keeping the tortoise shell from episode 2 of Season 6  remember when Enid ate a tortoise? But then I wrote a love note to Emily [Kinney who played Beth on the show] and gave it to her  like, thanks for that episode, he says. As The Walking Dead ramps up the tension in the final episodes of Season 7, were bracing ourselves for major deaths. We hate to see our favourite characters leave the show  especially if they meet a grisly end. But with anyone liable to cark it at any time, its good to be prepared. And that includes the cast, who seem more embracing of their character dying than the rest of us. We asked the cast of The Walking Dead how theyd like to see their character die in the show. Norman Reedus, Josh McDermitt, Tom Payne, Austin Amelio, Seth Gilliam, Alanna Masterson and Ross Marquand  who play Daryl, Eugene, Jesus, Dwight, Father Gabriel, Tara and Aaron respectively  shared their thoughts on how theyd like to see their character bow out. I would like to just walk away and go up a mountain, and then a little dog jumps out of the woods and follows me up and over the mountain. And theres a sunset, and people just go: Whatever happened to that guy? Like Outlaw Josey Wales, like a Clint Eastwood movie, says Norman Reedus. As for Josh McDermitt, he wants Eugene to go out a hero. Weve certainly seen some moments that Eugene has had in the past where hes stepped up to help others, says McDermitt. I think Rosita having the bullets and trying to shoot Negan, that certainly was a situation that went haywire. But Eugene did a heroic thing, stepping up and saying: Im the one who made the bullet. He could have died right there in that moment and he would have gone out as a hero. He adds, But honestly, with a character like Eugene, we dont know how he would die. He might just go out by choking on a sandwich. Austin Amelio, meanwhile, aspires to the death of one of the shows most popular characters: Michael Cudlitz had a pretty epic death. He had his last piece before he died. I dont know what that would entail but something along the lines of that would be nice. And Ross Marquand? Alien zombies.
