Final Fantasy XIV continues to deliver epic content to its players with The Far Edge of Fate (Patch 3.5), releasing Jan 17 which brings with it a ton of exciting, new content for adventurers. The Warrior of Light will be able to scale Baelsars Wall, the giant structure that separates the Garlean Empire-controlled territories and the three city-states of Eorzea. Players will also return to Sohm Al to further explore the holy ground of the dragons. Additionally, Patch 3.5 will feature the latest chapter in the Shadows of Mhach storyline with an all new alliance raid, a new primal fight against Zurvan, the final member of the Warring Triad, as well as new exploratory missions.Patch 3.5 also brings improvements to the Party Finder so that players from other worlds on the same data center can view, recruit and join parties. PvP will also receive updates to both Frontline and Duel modes, along with a new map coming to The Feast.  After listening to community feedback, players will be able to use the Duty Finder while their Chocobo is at their side.

'Final Fantasy XIV' - See The New Far Edge of Fate Updates

Marvel Studios has a track record for making good films. Not great films  the only one that flirts with greatness is Guardians of the Galaxy  but consistently pleasing popcorn fare. There is nothing wrong with that. Easily digestible blockbuster fun is what a lot of people want out of the moviegoing experience, and SMH is no exception. But, once you start scratching away at the surface, Spider-Man: Homecoming begins to show more than a few cracks. Lets stay positive for now because there is a lot to like about Spider-Man: Homecoming. Tom Holland nails the boyish charm of Peter Parker and the childish power fantasy of being Spider-Man. The films tone backs him up as it stays consistently light without feeling too geared to little kids. And there is a lot of humor to be found in the film. Maybe too much but when the jokes do land, they are a hoot. Youre going to get a big kick out of Captain Americas appearances in the movie.But, the film does have problems. The driving plot  Spidey stopping the Vulture from selling high-tech weaponry  sounds more interesting in concept than execution. While Michael Keaton is a treat as Adrian Toomes, hes fairly restrained for most of the films running time. He gets one or two moments of over-the-top goodness, but hes pretty one-note as far as his character arc is concerned. And the actual story between him and Peter is the least enthralling element of the movie. They have a single good scene together (no spoilers) but its a small character moment thats a hundred times better than any of their duels. Their rivalry is also hindered by some misguided direction during some of the big action scenes. A lot of Spider-Man: Homecomings fight scenes take place at night and the frame is a little too dark during these bits. That issue is exacerbated by a lot of frantic editing and staging. The ideas behind the fight scenes are often cool but they get bogged down by some clunky filmmaking choices. Spider-Man: Homecoming gets a 3 out of 5. It isnt bad. Its safe, unsurprising, and a little choppy at times but never bad. If youre a big fan of the Marvel Studios films or the character of Spider-Man, youll probably love it. If youre a film fan, youll enjoy it despite its noticeable flaws and missteps. But man, just wait for that post-credits stinger. Its a doozy.

The Call of Duty series returns to its roots this November with Call of Duty: WWII, which marks the first time in almost a decade since the series visited the historic conflict. If you're thinking of jumping back into the series with Call of Duty: WWII, here's everything you need to know.

A Mode for Every Mood

On the multiplayer side, classics such as “Team Deathmatch” and “Domination” make their return to Call of Duty: WWII. However, it's the new “War” mode that has fans buzzing. War is a new narratively driven multiplayer experience that allows players to relive famous WWII battles. As either the Axis or Allies, players are tasked with attacking or defending objectives. The popular “payload” mechanic is even introduced during some stages of “War” maps. It’s definitely the most unique multiplayer mode in Call of Duty: WWII.

No More “Create-A-Class”

Also new to multiplayer is the addition of “Divisions.” Before entering your first match, you’ll be prompted to join a division. You’ll have five options to choose from, and experience earned in matches will allow you to unlock other classes down the line. Each class is assigned a loose difficulty suggestion, meaning the Infantry has the easiest loadout kit to master whereas the “Mountain” division is geared toward more experienced FPS veterans.

Hone Your Craft at the “Headquarters”

Another can’t-miss feature is the addition of the “Headquarters” social experience. Similar to the social spaces of fellow Activision shooter Destiny, Headquarters will hold about 50 players at a time and offers a variety of player activities in the downtime between matches. You'll be able to test out new weapons, challenge others to 1v1 duels, and more.

Realism Returns

Call of Duty has also shaken up the single-player experience in World War II.

There is a renewed emphasis on realism, with no health regeneration and no ammo drops. Instead, first aid and ammo will be supplied by squad members. Players can also earn experience points by dragging their allies into cover, capture enemy soldiers, and -- of course -- killing enemies. Earning XP will allow you to upgrade your character as you progress through the story.

Zombies Are Back

Finally, it wouldn't be a Call of Duty game if there wasn't a zombies mode. This time around, the biggest change is the addition of a class system that includes offense, control, medic, and support. On the complete opposite spectrum of realism, the “Zombies” game mode returns as robust as ever. Each class a certain role to fill and different abilities, making a balanced team essential to pushing back the waves of undead.

We live in the age of peak comic book movies. A time almost unimaginable even a few years ago, when there were just two or three comic book movies out each year. Now, thanks to the box office successes of Marvel and DC, weve got a constant stream of comic book blockbusters to appreciate. Theres so much happening it can be hard to keep up with whats coming. So, here are 7 upcoming comic book movies, and all the reasons you cant miss them.On May 5, the interstellar a-holes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are back in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The original crew returns with a few new surprises -- Yondu and Nebula are now allies -- and they join the team on a cosmic adventure that uncovers the secrets of Peters true parentage.From director Patty Jenkins comes the next installment in the DC Extended Universe, Wonder Woman. Gal Gadot reprises her role as Diana, princess of the Amazons, in her first solo movie. Set during WWI, the story has Dianas life changed forever when Steve Trevor, an American pilot, crashes on her island home. Wonder Woman hits theaters on June 2.Get hype because Spider-Mans MCU solo joint is finally happening. In theaters July 6, Spider-Man: Homecoming follows Peter Parker as he tries to live the normal life of a high school student while moonlighting as a superpowered crime fighter. Which, if you've seen the trailers, you know it doesnt work out all that well. Things go sideways, and Tony Stark shows up to put Peter in check. Then hes caught up in a face-off against Michael Keatons Vulture -- hes awesome. So, this is all about Peter proving himself as a hero.Heres one you might not be super familiar with: Visionary director Luc Besson -- the guy who did The Fifth Element -- has the new space epic Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets out July 21. Valerian, starring Dane Dehaan and Cara Delevingne, is an adaptation of a groundbreaking French science fiction comic.  The effects in this movie are mind-blowing but dont forget about the story that centers on two space agents who travel to a space metropolis to confront a space villain to save the universe. Thor: Ragnarok, dropping November 3, looks to be a game changer for Marvels Thor series, with filmmaker Taika Waititi bringing a fresh visual style, and Chris Hemsworths got a new haircut. But wait theres more: This movie pairs Thor with Hulk, but not in a way you might expect. Thor must defeat the Hulk in a gladiator duel in time to save Asgard from Hela (played by Cate Blanchett) and the coming Ragnarok, which is basically Asgardian doomsday. This ones going to be IN. SANE.Justice League is coming! The DCEUs long-awaited team-up movie is coming November 17. Director Zack Snyder is making the movie, but dont freak out if you didnt like Batman v Superman, which was kind of a downer because Justice League looks like a ton of fun. Batman and Wonder Woman assemble a team that includes Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash to save the planet from certain doom -- not Doomsday, but Steppenwolf. Thats not the Canadian-American rock band, but a DC Comics villain you should google. Matthew Vaughn is making another Kingsman movie, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, once again based on the spy comic books The Secret Service by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons. Colin Firth, Taron Egerton, and Mark Strong are back, but this time were getting even more star power with Halle Berry, Julianne Moore, Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges and more -- so, it looks like Elton John is in the movie, which if you werent already planning to see it, I feel like that should seal the deal for you. Kingsman: The Golden Circle arrives in time for the holidays on December 13.That will get you through the end of 2017, but hold on to your capes because in 2018 its gonna get even crazier on the comic book movie scene.Deadpool 2, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, maybe New Mutants, definitely Ant-Man and the Wasp, maybe a Venom movie, AND Aquaman.
