Jason VandenBerghe is Ubisoft's Creative Director working on 'For Honor' the sword combat game coming Feb. 14, 2017. But to much of the Internet, VandenBerghe is simply known as "cane guy" following his epic onstage appearance during this year's Ubisoft E3 press conference. During that presentation, VandenBerghe's theatrical presentation style and infectious energy shone through, and we couldn't help but get excited about his upcoming game. We spoke to VandenBerghe at PAX West this year about For Honor's unique premise and combat system, the various hero types and weapons they use, as well as what we can expect to see next for the title.

This VR-like device is being shown exclusively at conventions such as Gamescom and PAX. It allows players to fully enjoy the game in the most immersive way imaginable. Through a unique technology, the Nosulus Rift delivers an odiferous blast directly up the user's nose each time the player utilizes the game's most powerful weapon -- farts. After getting to play Smash + Grab at PAX West 2016, we spent time with United Front Games Creative Director Mike Skupa to talk about the upcoming multiplayer brawler being developed by many of the team members that worked on Sleeping Dogs. We discussed the game's setting and game modes, as well as how you will assemble your crew for each mission, and some of the outlandish characters available to you and your opponents. We also discussed the team's approach to transitioning from a primarily single-player experience like Sleeping Dogs to a purely multiplayer game like Smash + Grab. Finally, Skupa touches on the team's early access plans and how they are incorporating fan feedback into the final product.
