With the 2017 Nintendo Switch games calendar bookended by Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey, it’s going to be a busy year of gaming for Ninty’s latest console.
Even though the launch line-up has been criticised somewhat, the Switch games list is getting longer and longer by the day. Check out all the confirmed Switch games for 2017 and beyond in our mammoth list.

Here are all the games you’ll be able to buy and play as soon as you open your Nintendo Switch on March 3.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Release date: March 3, 2017
The biggest launch game for the Nintendo Switch is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It’s the first truly open-world Zelda title to date and why wouldn’t you want to play that?
1-2 Switch
Release date: March 3, 2017
The game many fans believe should be bundled in with the Nintendo Switch for free, 1-2 Switch is a collection of mini-games aimed at showing off just what the Joy-Con controllers can do.
Snipperclips
Release date: March 3, 2017
A little puzzler that proved to. be a break-out hit with players at Nintendo Switch events worldwide, Snipperclips is a co-op focused game that sees you working with a buddy to snip your paper selves into different shapes to solve various puzzles.
Super Bomberman R
Release date: March 3, 2017
Our favourite little bomberman is back and bringing back action maze games for the first time in years.
Just Dance 2017
Release date: March 3, 2017
A special re-release of last year’s Just Dance title is another of the Nintendo Switch launch titles. It’ll have you dancing, boogieing and jiving your way to a fun house party.
I Am Setsuna
Release date: March 3, 2017
A traditional RPG in the greatest sense of the word, I Am Setsuna arrived in 2016 to great critical acclaim and now you can experience it on the Switch.
Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment and Treasure Trove
Release date: March 3, 2017
This is the very latest Shovel Knight adventure you have with Specter of Torment, and Treasure Trove is some awesome DLC for the pixel-art game. Prepare to become as addicted as we are.
Skylanders Imaginators
Release date: March 3, 2017
2016’s Skylanders Imaginators allowed players to create their very own Skylander for the very first time. It also saw the revival of Crash Bandicoot and some of his pals in the game, which was probably the coolest thing ever.
Nintendo Switch Games with Confirmed Release Date
Nintendo’s launch line-up might not be the most impressive in history, but the list of Switch games certainly doesn’t stop there. Here are all the Switch games with a confirmed release date, or at least a loose launch window:
Blaster Master Zero
Release date: March 9, 2017
If you played the original Master Blaster this will feel very familiar. The side-scrolling vehicular combat and top-down adventuring across a huge sci-fi world are back, but with a host of new gameplay elements. It’s going to be a pure nostalgic joy for a lot of people.
Lego City Undercover
Release date: April 4, 2017
This updated version of the Wii U’s launch title is now coming to the Nintendo Switch and for the first time, you’ll be able to play it in co-op with a friend.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Release date: April 28, 2017
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is another re-release but it’s a perfect addition to the Nintendo Switch roster, with all the DLC, characters and tracks included from the original.
Arms
Release date: Spring 2017
The most unique Switch game is Arms. It’s an arcade fighting game that sees players fight each other using their extendable arms controlled with a set of Joy-Con controllers each.
Sonic Mania
Release date: Spring 2017
To celebrate Sonic the Hedgehog’s belated 25th birthday, SEGA is releasing Sonic Mania. It’s a brand new 2D platforming adventure and he’s got some buddies with him.
Splatoon 2
Release date: Summer 2017
Splatoon 2 is the sequel to the best multiplayer on the Wii U and looks to offer the same ink-splatting fun of its original but in a much more portable package.
Project Sonic 2017
Release date: Fall 2017 worldwide
Another brand new Sonic the Hedgehog game for 2017 on the Nintendo Switch is Project Sonic 2017 – a game that doesn’t yet have a name. It is coming this year though and is already looking rather awesome.
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Release date: Fall 2017 worldwide
No-one can quite believe that Skyrim, the massive RPG from Bethesda, will be playable on the Switch. But it’s possible and it’s happening this year. The only weird thing is that Bethesda won’t say if the Switch version is the Special Edition that came to PS4, Xbox One and PC last year or the standard version from back in 2011.
Super Mario Odyssey
Release date: Holiday 2017 worldwide
Super Mario Odyssey might be the biggest reason to buy a Nintendo Switch – apart from Zelda of course. It’s a brand new 3D Super Mario adventure, akin to Super Mario Sunshine, with a ton of new worlds to explore including New Donk City.
