With New York Comic-Con on the horizon, Fandom and Universal Orlando Resort have joined forces to celebrate the convention in the coolest way possible: a party in Times Square. On Friday, October 18th, The Fandom Party New York will be held at the Hard Rock Hotel to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the company.
The party takes place from 8 PM ET to 12 AM ET and there are a ton of reasons to head to the event. There will be immersive experiences, an interactive photobooth and scavenger hunt highlighting the five worlds coming to Universal Epic Universe, an AR experience and collectible pin from Pinfinity–and most excitingly, lots of prizes from the Fandom arcade. If you happened to be at Fandom’s San Diego Comic-Con party earlier this year, which featured a performance by Jason Derulo, you know our parties are not to be missed.
The next day, on Saturday, October 19th, GameSpot Senior Editor and Fandom’s theme park enthusiast Chris Hayner will speak with members of the Universal Destinations & Experiences creative team about Universal Epic Universe, the game-changing new theme park opening in 2025. If you’ve got a New York Comic-Con badge, make sure you head to room Room 406.3 at the Javits Center– on Saturday, October 19th at 6:30 PM ET. Not only will you learn more about Epic Universe, but you’ll also get some really cool swag from both Universal Orlando Resort and Fandom.
Universal Epic Universe will become Universal Orlando’s fourth theme park and will invite guests to explore five vibrant, immersive worlds filled with extraordinary adventures that go beyond their wildest imaginations: Celestial Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk and Dark Universe. The park will also feature an all-new hotel, Universal Helios Grand Hotel, a Loews Hotel – complete with 500 rooms, one-of-a-kind views and its very own dedicated entrance into the theme park.
