Actor Dylan O’Brien, best known for his work on Teen Wolf, is hospitalized after an accident on the set of The Maze Runner: The Death Cure in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Initial reports from TMZ said O’Brien was “severely injured,” “suffered multiple broken bones” and “was run over.”
Since then, FANDOM has learned from sources close to the production that TMZ was overstating the severity of the injuries.
A spokesperson for the studio (20th Century Fox) released a statement earlier today, “Dylan O’Brien was injured yesterday while filming ‘Maze Runner: The Death Cure’ in Vancouver, Canada. He was immediately transferred to a local hospital for observation and treatment. Production on the film will be shut down while he recovers. Our thoughts go out to Dylan for a full and speedy recovery.”
Deadline is reporting that the 24-year-old fell off a set that was simulating a moving train. He landed on his face and broke either his cheekbone or orbital socket. Neither the studio nor the hospital will confirm these reports citing patient privacy rights.
