Marvel Studios billed Avengers: Infinity War as the most ambitious crossover of all time, and it’s hard to argue with that since it brings together storylines and characters from 18 movies spanning 10 years. It’s where all that business about Infinity Stones and the post-credits scenes with Thanos have been heading.
Infinity War is the first movie to bring all the different groups of MCU characters together. They’ve so far been mostly separated — in different countries, continents, planets or dimensions.
