EA Games has confirmed that an official Star Wars Battlefront II reveal is coming incredibly soon, with the first trailer and game details landing next month.
It seems the annual Star Wars Celebration, which runs from April 13-16 in Orlando, Florida, will be the location for the big Star Wars Battlefront II reveal.
“Commence primary ignition – the first trailer for Star Wars Battlefront II is imminent,” reads the official EA Games blog post. “On April 15 at 2:30PM ET/11:30AM PT at Star Wars Celebration, we’ll be presenting during ‘The Galaxywide Premiere of Star Wars Battlefront II‘ panel.
“Not able to attend in person? You’ll still be able to watch online. Join the award-winning developer from DICE, Criterion and Motive as they offer a glimpse at the game and debut the first trailer.”
It’s also interesting that the game is officially called Star Wars Battlefront 2, especially as that’s the same name of a game released in 2005. Confusing eh?

A highly-anticipated sequel
EA Games has openly discussed creating a sequel to the 2015 Star Wars Battlefront since the game launched. It’s was teased in the big Stars Wars trailer back at the E3 2016 EA Play event last June, including some lovely screenshots and a look at some potential characters.
Little is actually known about the game, but EA Games has confirmed it will feature settings, characters and battles from multiple Star Wars films, including content from Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Star Wars Battlefront II is likely to be released sometime in late 2017, probably across PS4, Xbox One and PC.
