When we last saw the Riverdale gang, the entire town was breathing a sigh of relief that Jason Blossom’s killer had finally been identified. But then another terrible crime occurred, in a space that had been considered one of the town’s safest, most innocent places: Fred Andrews was shot in Pop’s Chock’lit Shoppe. If Jason Blossom’s murder revealed the slimy underbelly beneath Riverdale’s surface, Season 2 looks like it threatens to plunge the entire town into total darkness.
