ORIGINAL POST PUBLISHED 9/7/2016:
To mark this week’s home media release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, Paramount has commissioned a series of Renaissance-style paintings of each of the the Ninja Turtles. And we’re sharing the exclusive debut of the Leonardo work of art here on Fandom.
Each of the turtles have been rendered in the Renaissance style of their namesake artist — as you can see, the painting below is meant to evoke Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is out now on digital HD. The film is the second in the latest iteration of the Turtles franchise which kicked-off with the 2014 live-action reboot. It sees the return of April O’Neil (Megan Fox), Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett), and the turtles themselves, and introduces fan-favorite characters like Casey Jones (Stephen Amell), Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams), Rocksteady (Stephen Farrelly), and Baxter Stockman (Tyler Perry).
Here’s an exclusive clip from the home media release:
You can see the rest of the Renaissance-style Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles paintings on ComicBookMovie.com and Nick’s TMNT Facebook page.
