Prepare your ears for some serious nostalgia, because it looks like Spider-man Homecoming is getting a brand new theme tune based on the ’60s cartoons. And yes, we’ve already listened to it like 100 billion times.
Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino is the man behind the music of Spider-man Homecoming and he’s posted a 30-second clip of some orchestral music. But it’s not just any orchestral beats, it’s a rather spectacular arrangement of the classic theme from the ’60s Spider-man cartoons.

The big question on our minds is whether this will be the main Spider-man Homecoming theme, or is Giacchino just messing with us and drumming up some serious nostalgia?
Giacchino is already well-known for his stunning compositions. He’s worked with Disney and Marvel on a number of projects, including Doctor Strange, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, but he’s also composed the entirety of Lost, The Incredibles and the 2009 Star Trek reboot.
Other Spider-man movies have used the classic theme but merely in the credits. We’d love to see this bad boy taking centre stage as the defining Spider-man Homecoming theme.
And it seems like the internet is with us on that one:

Spider-man Homecoming is out in cinemas on July 7 and will feature a young Peter Parker played by Tom Holland (who also played Spidey in Captain America: Civil War) who’s coming to terms with his newfound superhero abilities.
Parker returns home to his Aunt May and it’s up to Tony Stark – aka Iron Man – to mentor him, despite his longing to return to a ‘normal’ routine.
Of course, nothing goes to plan as is the norm, and a new supervillain called the Vulture (played by Michael Keaton) emerges to threaten everything.
