The first official trailer for Marvel’s upcoming Inhumans TV series is here, and it’s… well, it’s here. The series, coming to ABC this fall, is based on the Marvel comics that follow a superpowered race of alien origin. They live peacefully under the leadership of Black Bolt (Anson Mount) and the Inhuman royal family. But there’s a revolt of sorts, led by Maximus (Iwan Rheon of Game of Thrones), who’s determined to lead a triumphant return to Earth.
All that is beside the point, which is, they have an AWESOME GIANT DOG named Lockjaw. Check it out…
Let’s be clear, this isn’t a great trailer. The stuff on the moon looks extremely dull — the brutalist design is intentional, but it’s completely uninteresting. The costumes are bad. And Iwan Rheon’s “motivational” speech is certainly not among his best work. When we finally get to the action on Earth, things do improve. But there’s not one single thing in this trailer that can top the appearance of Lockjaw!
Inhumans is going ALL IN on the giant CG dog angle, as evidenced by the stinger scene at the end of the trailer with Lockjaw bouncing around adorably. And, hey, it’s cool. Play to your strengths.
Fan reaction to the Inhumans trailer is, needless to say, mixed. But let’s focus (mostly) on the positive: Lockjaw!
This is Lockjaw. He's a good boy. He can teleport you out of school or jury duty. Feeding can be complicated. 15/10 pic.twitter.com/VOf5RGEq5Z

Lockjaw is the only interesting part of that inhumans trailer and He's expensive so imhe probably will have barely any screen time…

That was a disappointment and some seriously wooden acting. BUT LOCKJAW OMG LOCKJAW!

#Inhumans – I think it will be tough one to steal fans heart away in longer run. Only character they did right is #Lockjaw
