LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures, premiering Monday night on Disney XD, is an all-new animated series that introduces new heroes and villains into the Star Wars universe.
The new half-hour series combines the excitement, action, and adventure of a galaxy far, far away with the signature humor of LEGO Star Wars.
Set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, the series centers on the Freemakers, a family of sibling scavengers who operate a salvage and repair shop in space and scour the galaxy for useful debris to build new vehicles of their own design.
Who Are The Freemakers?
Rowan Freemaker – A spunky Force-sensitive 12-year-old with a thirst for adventure, Rowan Freemaker is voiced by newcomer Nicolas Cantu. The younger brother of Kordi and Zander Freemaker, Rowan’s curiosity often leads to trouble.
Kordi Freemaker – Rowan’s quick-witted older sister, Kordi Freemaker, is voiced by Vanessa Lengies (Glee). She manages the family business and is the glue that holds the family together. Kordi is a tough fighter, but she’s able to talk her way out of most problems. Kordi often finds herself trying to get Zander and Rowan out of trouble.
Zander Freemaker – Ace pilot and charming rogue Zander Freemaker is voiced by Eugene Byrd (Arrow). He is the oldest brother and the family’s self-proclaimed starship connoisseur — he’s a racing enthusiast and skilled mechanic who owns an N-1 starfighter.
R0-GR – R0-GR or “Roger,” is voiced by Lucasfilm sound editor Matthew Wood. He’s a refurbished B1 battle droid — a veteran of the Separatist Droid Army during the Clone Wars — adopted by the Freemaker family, and reprogrammed to serve as Rowan’s best friend. He has a mismatched torso and right arm.
LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures begins with a tale of good versus evil as Rowan discovers the Kyber Saber, an ancient artifact with a powerful connection to the Force, and their world is turned upside down as they are thrown into the epic struggle against the Empire.
