The trailer for the highly anticipated The Last Jedi has been released and the reaction from fans almost melted the entire Internet. Total madness began a day beforehand when a teaser for The Last Jedi trailer was released on Sunday morning during New York Comic Con.  Star Wars fans lit up after the teaser was released, but the complete buildup to the actual trailer was more than anyone could handle. Fans on Twitter fulfilled their destiny, by doing what they do best. Everyone tweeted.

First, The Poster.

At exactly 5:15pm PST Monday evening, the new poster was revealed.

Then, The Tickets.

On sale now, folks.

But the servers held up, and fans were able to get tickets to see The Last Jedi.

The Waiting Is The Hardest Part.

Tom Petty was right. It’s really hard to wait, so everyone continued to tap their fingers and Tweet about it. The trailer was set to air on ESPN during Monday Night Football, and fans have literally never been more ready for a trailer, or football.

There’s humor in everything, even a trailer.

Something Truly Special.

Finally, after what felt like the longest half of an American football game ever, rife with penalties and overused time-outs, the trailer for The Last Jedi arrived.

Rey has always felt something special inside herself, General Leia Organa looks concerned, and Supreme Snoke is extra wrinkly. Twitter. Cannot. Handle. It.

And Then There Were Porgs.

Some people love them, and some people eat them. Porgs are the newest creatures in the Star Wars franchise, and the Internet can’t look away.

The Last Jedi is the most anticipated movie of the year, with good reason. The franchise spans more than 40 years of fandom, and the world is ready.

What do you think of the trailer? Are Porgs cute, or edible? Did you get tickets? Let us know @getfandom on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram. For all the latest Star Wars news, download our new FANDOM app on the Apple iTunes store, or Google Play.
