UPDATE: BTS (Bangtan Boys), the K-pop band who owned the 2017 Billboard Awards simply by arriving, is melting the Internet again. Back in May 2017, BTS became the first K-pop band to win a Billboard award, EVER. While some awards end up on a nice shelf at home without much follow-up, BTS didn’t miss a beat. Within five months, BTS turned their win into real gold.
Yesterday, the band released a new album Love Yourself: ‘Her’ with two hidden tracks directly related to their experiences at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards.
Hidden Track #1: “Skit: Billboard Music Awards”
The new song features a live recording of band member Rap Monster’s speech from the award show. Relive the moment rn:
Hidden Track #2: “Best of Me”
The boys of BTS are fans of The Chainsmokers. Best Of Me is co-written by’ The Chainsmokers‘ Andrew Taggard.
We’re not surprised they worked with Andrew. ICYMI: That time BTS danced to The Chainsmokers’ performance on stage at the Billboard Music Awards.

Within a day of release, the album is already melting charts, thanks to their army of fans known as BTS Army.

BTS will debut new material on September 21, during a global broadcast of their “Comeback Show” and we hope the servers can handle it.
While the Billboard Music Awards obviously impacted the band, let’s be clear: BTS would have won the show even if they hadn’t won any award at all.
Proof K-pop Band BTS Owned the Billboard Music Awards Before It Even Started
The nominees for Top Social Artist took over the Billboard Music Awards show and all they had to do was arrive. As the first K-pop band in Billboard Award Show history to receive a nomination, the seven-member boy band rolled up to the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada fresh off a sold out arena tour in the USA. Later in the evening, they also became the first K-pop band to win a Billboard award. With or without the win, they took over the entire award show (and the Internet), simply by stepping out of their vehicle.
BTS Violated All Rock Star Rules By Arriving Early.
BTS owned the red carpet, and all they had to do was get out of the car.

They had a good time with Laura Marano.
BTS walked into the venue, sat down, and showed the world they’re bigger than Bey.
