Great news for fans of vikings, knights, and/or samurai: The For Honor open beta is now live across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game, which mashes up the three aforementioned warrior classes in a multiplayer melee free-for-all, has already picked up stream on streaming services. In fact, Fandom partnered with three top streamers — Kinda Funny, StoneMountain64, and Fairlight_Excalibur — to participate in the closed beta. You can watch the highlights below:
The cool thing about this open beta is that everyone who plays it will also be participating in an overarching “War of the Factions” event. Basically, when you launch the game, you’ll choose a faction. Then, every win you eke out — no matter which class you’re playing as — will count toward your pledged faction’s war assets. Whichever faction has the most war assets at the end of the beta wins, and they’ll get special rewards unlocked in the actual game when it comes out on February 14. (The losing factions will also receive some consolation rewards.)
To celebrate the open beta, Fandom will again be partnering with Kinda Funny, StoneMountain64, and Fairlight_Excalibur to stream their epic kills.
