With Star Wars: The Last Jedi still fresh in our minds and Han Solo spin-off Solo: A Star Wars Story around the corner, it feels a bit like we’re constantly celebrating Star Wars right now. But today is May the Fourth, the day designated Star Wars Day, and it’s officially the moment in the calendar where we stop to give praise to the sci-fi fantasy juggernaut beloved by many.
Here’s our round-up of how fans are toasting the franchise around the internet. May the Fourth be with them (and also you).
With Rey the main star of the new trilogy, it’s fitting that actress Daisy Ridley bothered to take the time to record a special message:
This cafe in Nebraska baked some Chewbacca eclairs and Yoda doughnuts to share with the rest of the world — virtually rather than literally, unfortunately:

This biscuit manufacturer made a cute BB-8 inspired video:
While Guardians of the Galaxy star Michael Rooker posted this picture, with The Walking Dead‘s Norman Reedus holding a lightsaber the wrong way. Doh! That’s gotta burn:
One Twitter user posted this picture of an all-powerful evil dog:
And former Take That singer and Star Wars extra Gary Barlow shared a picture of himself in costume having a lie down — that resistance life is tiring:

Star Wars veteran Warwick Davis, meanwhile, tweeted this heartfelt message:
Happy #StarWarsDay! To quote Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Force is “…an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us & penetrates us; it binds the galaxy together.” #MayThe4thBeWithYou
