Following on from the grand success of Caulifla becoming the first female Super Saiyan for Dragon Ball Super, there’s a second female Super Saiyan making her mark.
As expected, Caulifla’s underling Kale showed off her full transformation in the latest episode of Dragon Ball Super. It was definitely on the cards as not only did Kale watch Caulifla go Super Saiyan last week, but she was also featured in the debut trailer for the Dragon Ball Super ‘Universal Survival’ arc.
That trailer suggested that Kale’s Super Saiyan may happen in a similar way to Broly from Dragon Ball Z. And to say the two are similar would be an understatement. She turns green and gains huge muscles, just as Broly does.
Broly isn’t considered canon in the Dragon Ball series, but this is definitely a nod to the popular character.
Just look at that resemblance,Kale is literally Broly! #DragonBallSuper #Broly #DBSuper pic.twitter.com/TKof67HrpP

You think I'm joking when I say Toei made Super Saiyan Kale into a female copy of Broli?

But it’s obvious that fans are very much approving of Kale’s transformation, taking to Twitter to react to the news of the second female Super Saiyan in their droves.
