A brand new trailer for Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger dropped today. The trailer features an in-depth look at the show’s main characters, Tandy Bowen/Dagger, played by Olivia Holt, and Tyrone Johnson/Cloak, played by Aubrey Joseph. Check out the trailer above and the full breakdown below.
Cloak & Dagger or Romeo & Juliet?
Marvel’s next show to debut is the teen coming-of-age drama Cloak & Dagger. The show centers on two teenagers, Tandy and Tyrone, who fall in love in the midst of discovering they have superpowers.
In the newest trailer, fans get a deeper look into the pair’s individual pasts. Tandy appears to have been involved in a traumatizing traffic accident as a child, while Tyrone witnesses a family member’s shooting in New Orleans.
Jump forward to the present, where Tandy is a teen thief on the run, and Tyrone is a prep school wrestler. And despite their different lives, they have a chance encounter where their lives change forever.
“When we touch, s–t goes boom,” Tandy tells Tyrone of their opposing powers (hers generating light, his enveloping in darkness).
