Adam West, the man who brought Batman into the homes of countless families back in the 1960s, passed away last week. To honor him, the mayor of Los Angeles decided to create a fitting tribute. The Bat-signal shined on top of City Hall last night for the entire city to see. Fans showed up in droves to honor the man who helped launch the Caped Crusader into the hearts and imaginations of the world.
Here are some great reactions from the event.

Adam West will never be far from the hearts of fans. If you haven’t seen the recentย Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders, do yourself a favor and watch it. It’s a fitting adventure for the ’60s version of the character. And if you can get your hands on the original television show and/or the 1966 movie, you have to do that. It’s the greatest smile-inducing adaptation of the character ever.
