Set in the wastes of a post-apocalyptic future Earth, After Reset from Richard Nixon (no, not that Richard Nixon) and Black Cloud Studios promises to return players to the glory days of role-playing games, tying old-school RPG mechanics with a rich story set in a desolate world. We’ve teamed with Black Cloud Studios to create the Official After Reset Wiki, providing you with a resource to look up every bit of intel that you could need to explore this dangerous world.

But what’s out there? Continue on to find out.

This is the story of Earth a century after the thermonuclear apocalypse known only as the ‘Reset’ has destroyed much of mankind. Clouds of radioactive dust still blanket a third of the planet, and within these “Yellow Zones,” the last vestiges of mankind fight for control over the sparse food and water that hasn’t been tainted. You are a Commander in the United Governments, one of the few organized governments left on Earth. After waking up naked and alone in a mysterious laboratory, you set out to discover your purpose, your surroundings, and your true identity.

After Reset is tailored after both Dungeons & Dragons Edition 3.5, as well as the SPECIAL skills system made popular in the Fallout games. You are given a multitide of options in customizing your character, and the skills you choose to invest in will impact how you experience the non-linear stories – yours, and those of your companions. Set in what was once Nevada and California, you will explore a world more than twice the size of Fallout and Fallout 2 combined. You will encounter groups of survivors, roaming bandits, territorial gangs, refugee camps, and settlements. Some of the people you meet in the wastes will be friendly, while others… not so much. When that time comes you will find yourself reaching for your pistol and battling for survival utilizing the game’s rules-based real-time combat.

Slated for release on PC, Mac, and Linux, After Reset is currently in Alpha. You can learn more about After Reset and its fund-raising campaign by visiting their Kickstarter. You can also vote for the game on Steam Greenlight, and as more information about the game becomes available you can expect to see our official Wiki continue to grow.
